Exploring the Stickman Trail at Delamere Forest

One of the things we love most as a family is a structured walk—it takes the pressure off planning and keeps little ones engaged from start to finish. So when we heard that the Stickman Trail had arrived at Delamere Forest, we knew it would be a perfect day out.

We’ve already done the Gruffalo Party Trail at Delamere (multiple times!), so it was exciting to discover something new. And we have to say, Forestry England really upped their game this year!

For just £4, you can purchase a Stickman activity pack from the visitor centre. It includes the usual fun: stickers, puzzles, and games for along the trail and back at home—but the addition of a lanyard this year was a lovely touch that made it even more interactive.

What to Expect on the Trail

The Stickman Trail is around a mile long, and it took us about an hour to complete, including time to enjoy most of the activities along the way. It’s just the right length for younger children—not too short, not too long—and there’s plenty to keep them engaged throughout.

One of the biggest highlights for us was that the trail is fully accessible, which meant Asiya could join in every step of the way. That’s something we don’t take for granted, and it made the day extra special 💕🎉

More to Love at Delamere Forest

Delamere Forest continues to be one of our firm family favourites. Beyond the Stickman Trail, there are:

  • Various walking paths, including fully accessible routes
  • A visitor centre with facilities and maps
  • On-site food options like a café, pizza truck, and ice cream van
  • And of course… the Gruffalo’s forever home in the forest!

The only cost is parking, which makes it a really affordable day out.

If you’re looking for an inclusive, affordable, and interactive family day out, we highly recommend visiting the Stickman Trail at Delamere. Whether your little ones are Stickman fans or just love a woodland wander, it’s the perfect way to spend a few hours outdoors—no extra planning required!
