This summer, we spent our family holiday at Selge Beach Resort in Antalya — a halal-friendly, family-focused resort that turned out to be one of our most relaxing trips yet. We were a group of 16 people with a wide range of ages, and somehow this resort managed to keep everyone happy (which, as any parent knows, is no small thing!).
Booking and Flights ✈️
We booked our flights through Skyscanner and flew with Corendon Airlines, a budget airline. Seats and baggage were extra, but we expected that. Since it was school holidays, prices were a bit higher, but we still found a good deal that worked for us.
I’ve been a member of HalalBooking.com for a while now — I actually booked our stay in Alanya last year through them. Their free loyalty scheme gives discounts, so we used it again this time. It really helped with savings, and booking directly through them made the process easy and transparent. We also arranged our airport transfers through the hotel, which was convenient and stress-free.
Why We Chose Selge Beach Resort 🌿
Selge Beach Resort is known for being completely halal-friendly, with no alcohol served anywhere on-site and a masjid within the resort for daily prayers. Privacy, modesty, and family comfort are all top priorities here.
We loved that it offered women-only and men-only facilities, family-friendly entertainment, and all-inclusive dining — all in one place. For us, that balance of comfort, privacy, and fun made it an easy choice.
Pools & Aqua Park 💦
There’s no shortage of water fun here! The resort has a large mixed pool, a men’s pool with big slides, and a women’s pool with big slides and a kids’ section.
The aqua park is perfect for little ones — with toddler-friendly slides and shallow water around 0.40m deep. It’s a mixed area, so both parents can join in and enjoy family time together.
For women, there are three outdoor pools (including shallow and deep ones, both with slides) plus an indoor pool, spa, and hammam. Phones aren’t allowed in the women’s pool area for privacy, and boys over 7 aren’t permitted — which keeps it comfortable for everyone.
Food & Snacks 🍕🍰
The main buffet offers a wide selection of halal dishes, and honestly, we never went hungry. There are three à la carte restaurants, but they require advance booking and an extra charge. We didn’t try them as they didn’t have chicken nuggets (a dealbreaker for our little ones!).
Throughout the day, the patisserie serves cakes and desserts, while a pizzeria runs all day. Around the pools, you’ll find cafés serving burgers, pizza, fruit, cold drinks, and ice cream in the afternoons.
Beach Views 🌅
Selge Beach Resort has private beach access with plenty of sunbeds and a women-only sunbathing area. Other resorts are nearby, but it still felt peaceful. Because it was so hot, we skipped the beach during the day and went at sunrise and sunset, which was absolutely beautiful.
There’s also a beach café for drinks and snacks — a nice touch when you just want to relax by the sea.
Kids’ Fun & Entertainment 🎮
Our kids were never bored! The kids’ club runs all day with different themed events, while the games room is huge — complete with PlayStations, snooker, table tennis, toddler rides, ice hockey, and basketball hoops.
Outside, there’s a playground with swings and slides, plus trampoline parks for toddlers and older kids. It’s safe, clean, and full of energy all day long.
Evening Entertainment 🌙
Evenings were lively and full of variety — from family-friendly shows and games to special performances. One night, we even saw Maher Zain live, which was such a highlight! The acrobat show was another favourite for the kids.
Adults’ Activities ☕💆♀️
For adults, there’s a spa, hammam, and fitness centre, along with plenty of spots to grab a quiet coffee and unwind. The resort also offers excursions and outdoor trips, but we didn’t have time to explore them — we were far too busy enjoying the pools!
Rooms & Comfort 🛏️
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with daily housekeeping and everything families might need. The resort felt safe and well-maintained — which really matters when travelling with kids.
Resort Vibe 🏖️
We honestly didn’t leave the resort except for one quick trip to the bazaar across the road. Everything we needed was right there — food, fun, relaxation, and entertainment.
Final Thoughts 🌸
Would we recommend Selge Beach Resort? Absolutely.
It’s perfect for halal family holidays, with so much for kids and adults alike. The facilities are great, the food is plentiful, and the family-friendly atmosphere made it a trip we’ll remember fondly.
We’re already thinking about where to go next — but Selge Beach definitely set the bar high.
